FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

*What kind of materials do you use?

Sterling Silver:  Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper.  Sterling silver is used for all components, such as hooks, clasps, chain, wire and other findings. 

Gold-Filled:  All gold wire, components, ear wires, hoops, chain, etc. is made of 14k gold-filled.  Unlike gold-plating or vermeil (gold-plated silver), gold-filled is a thick layer of 14k over a small core of base metal (usually brass), and will not wear off or tarnish.

Swarovski crystals, real freshwater pearls, and semi-precious stones are a huge part of all of the designs.  Please note that colors of beads in images on this site might appear slightly different than what they are in person. With some materials, such as freshwater pearls, there may be natural variation in shape, size, color, and texture.

*How should I store and clean my jewelry?

Sterling Silver:  Over time sterling silver will tarnish due to the natural moisture in the air.  It is recommended that you keep your jewelry in a zip lock type bag (comes with each purchase) so that the oxidation process will be slower.  However, if you start to see your jewelry tarnish, you can always clean it with a soft jewelry cloth. 

Gold-filled:  While gold-filled jewelry does not tarnish like sterling silver, occasionally it can be cleaned the same way with a soft jewelry cloth.

*How much is shipping?

First Class shipping is FREE.  However, if you’d like to insure the package, which is always recommended, there will be an additional charge.  Please note that we cannot ship to PO Boxes.  For rush delivery, please contact us at bluesprinkle@gmail.com to see if we can meet your dates.  We will try our best to accommodate your needs.

*What does “Limited Edition” mean?

There are only a limited amount of these pieces on hand.  If these pieces sell out there is no guarantee that they will be recreated again.  Oftentimes, I unearth unique stones or other findings when I travel or go on gem hunts. They are used to create one-of-a-kind pieces.  Trunk shows showcase the biggest collection of my recent discoveries, or what I call the “Limited Edition” category if I choose to sell it online.

*Where and when are your trunk shows?

In the past, we have had trunk shows in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, and Fullerton, CA.  If you’d be interested in hosting a trunk show, or if you would like me to invite you to the next one, please contact us at bluesprinkle@gmail.com for more info.

*Do you do custom orders?

Yes, I got my start by doing custom orders for wedding parties through friends and family.  I LOVE designing and creating “special” jewelry for your special day. 

*What is the return policy?

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, you may exchange it for the full paid retail within 30 days of your purchase.  The jewelry must be in its original condition and shipped back. Email us at bluesprinkle@gmail.com  to make arrangements. We do not accept merchandise returns at this time.  All custom orders (made just for you with a design that you specifically requested) are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.  Sizes can be adjusted for a small “size adjustment fee.”  The cost of shipping is non-refundable. We recommend that you insure your return, since we can not be responsible for lost or damaged packages.

*What is the repair policy?

 
We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of all our jewelry.  In the event that your jewelry becomes damaged, we will gladly repair it free of charge within 30 days of your order. If some parts are missing, some material charges may apply.  After 30 days, we will repair your jewelry for a small materials and shipping fee. *How do I place a custom order?

Jennifer will ask you the details of your event and work with you to come up with a piece that fits your personality, event, and vision.  If pricing is a concern, she will offer options on materials and styles so you can have a similar look that fits within your budget.
